Late 19th century Greeting card from Teacher Loren A. Brewster to Emma Hall, probably Knox County, Maine

Late 19th century greeting card to Emma Hall from Loren A. Brewster, Teacher.

The teacher may have been Loren Alanson Brewster (1870-1901), son of Lorenzo and Susan (Tolman) Brewster, of the Camden, Maine area.

The 1900 Census shows Loren as a farmer in Rockport, Maine. However, he could have been a teacher earlier. This, as in so many other cases, might have been resolved, had the 1890 Census only survived...

Searching online for Emma Hall revealed an Emma Hall, born Feb 1886, in St. George, Maine. St. George is also in Knox County, as are Camden and Rockport.

If you have a theory as to the identities of teacher Loren A. Brewster and Emma Hall, please leave a comment for the benefit of other researchers.
