1800s sampler of George & Bethiah (Hatch) Conant

Several years ago I noticed this Sampler Family Register at an antique shop in New Hampshire; the owner graciously allowed me to photograph it.

From what I have been able to gather online, George Conant, who is shown in the Register with a birthdate of  2 April 1788, was the son of Rufus and Thankful (Leonard) Conant.  He was born in Lyme, Grafton County, New Hampshire.  Bethiah Hatch was born in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts on 6 Sep 1783, the daughter of Anthony Eames & Bethia (Rogers) Hatch.

As shown in the Family Register sampler, George and Bethiah were married on 22 Dec 1817; their children were: Laura A.; George; Celia H.; Rufus L.; and Mary.  Mary's date of birth was left unstitched.  The last entry is "George Conant Died", but no date and no reference as to whether it was the father George or his son George.

Hopefully this sampler Family Register has meaning for you.  Thanks for stopping by!
