Cabinet Photo of Alice Eva Scott; Gardiner, Maine, studio

Cabinet photograph of a baby identified on reverse as Alice E. Scott; photo taken by A. T. Reynolds, Gardiner, Maine.

From online research, which is hopefully correct:

This is likely Alice Eva Scott, born 4 December 1897 in Gardiner, Maine, the daughter of Charles Walter Scott and his wife Lenora Charlotte (Burns) Scott.  Alice's paternal grandparents were John and Mary Catherine (Emery) Scott.   Her maternal grandparents were William Chester Burns and his wife Ellen (Baker) Burns of Prince Edward Island, Canada.

I haven't yet been able to find out anything about John Scott, but his wife Mary Catherine Emery was the daughter of Jonas and Eliza (Boynton) Emery.

William Chester Burns was the son of James and Margaret (Jardine) Burns.  James was born in Scotland; Margaret on Prince Edward Island.  His wife, Ellen (Baker) Burns, was the daughter of John and Mary (Lawless) Baker, both of Prince Edward Island.  I noticed that several of the Prince Edward Island relatives moved to the Augusta, Maine, area, of which Gardiner and Pittston are a part.
