Mildred Lord, photo as a student at Surry High School, Surry, Maine

Assuming I have the placement figured out correctly, this is a photo of Mildred Laura Lord, when a student at Surry High School in Surry, Maine.

The entire class photo [which I discussed in an earlier post Early 20th Century photograph of Surry, Maine high school students and teacher Mr. Shorey
  ]  is below.

Here is the reverse of the photograph so that you can draw your own conclusions about the placement.  If you feel that the girl shown above is not Mildred Laura Lord, please scroll down to the comments section or contact me directly.  Please do the same if the genealogy below has errors, or if you have further information or insights.

From online research, hopefully correct:

Mildred Laura Lord was born on 27 June 1897 in Surry, Maine, the daughter of Howard C. and Mary A. (Springer) Lord.  Her paternal grandparents were Simeon and Susan Maria (Ray) Lord, and her maternal grandparents were Thomas D. and Lydia A. (Hodgkins) Springer.  Surnames in this interesting line include:  Lord, Springer, Ray, Hodgkins, McFarland, Treworgy, Card, Bowden, Milliken, Patten, Townsend, Googins, and Ford; with some repeats.

Mildred Laura Lord married James Donald Cunningham, then living in Guilford, Maine, on 14 June 1922.   I believe they stayed in Guilford, at least long enough to raise their family.  I found an obituary online for their daughter Mary, who was called a Guilford native.  I haven't found any information on the parents of James Donald Cunningham, but did find a reference that he was born on 25 July 1898.

Mildred and James had at least one other child, a daughter Doris, who is mentioned as a survivor in Mary's obituary.  I haven't been able to find the family in the 1930 Census, which would have been a great help.
