Photograph of Mary "Mamie" E. Wilkerson of Illinois and Colorado

Photograph of Mary E. Wilkerson, "Mamie", taken by Hoerntlein studio of Dallas City, Illinois.  As you can see, the identification is on the front, at bottom; no writing on the reverse.

From online research, hopefully correct:

Mary E. or Mamie Wilkerson was born 27 October 1879 in Durham, Illinois, the daughter of Solomon and Sophia (Longsheigh) Wilkerson.  Her father was born 23 March 1854 in Green County, Indiana, possibly the town of Solsberry.  Her mother was born 27 September 1857 in Dallas City, Illinois.

Mamie's paternal grandparents were Solomon and Polly (Anderson) Wilkerson, he of North Carolina and she of Tennessee.  Mamie's maternal grandparents were Edward and Sophia H. (Kreppke) Longsheigh of Germany.

In 1913 Mamie married John H. Bradford.  I don't know if they had any children of their own, but I believe John H. Bradford had at least two sons from a previous marriage, Donald and James, unless Donald and James are the same person, i.e. James Donald Bradford.  According to the 1920 Census, they were living in East Canon, Colorado, where John was a fireman in a smelter; 13 year old James was living with them.  In the 1930 Census, they were living in East Canon, Colorado, where John was doing odd jobs; James was no longer living with them.

Mamie died in 1937 at Canyon City, Colorado [the revised spelling of Canon?].   According to her obituary, she was survived by her husband; her mother; her brother William; her sister Edna; and her stepson Donald.
