1896 Graduation Photograph of Blanche A. Jordan of Bangor, Maine
Photograph of Blanche A. Jordan, B.H.S. 1896. I found Blanche's family in the Census of Bangor, Maine, so I'm assuming the B.H.S. refers to Bangor High School, though Brewer, Maine is just across the Penobscot River.
Blanche A. Jordan was born about 1879, the daughter of Henry Anderson Jordan and wife Frances Lear (Kelliher) Jordan, born in Ellsworth, Maine, and Amherst, Maine, respectively.
Blanche's paternal grandparents were Henry Bowers Jordan and wife Helen M. (Webster) Jordan. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin F. and Hannah (Lear) Kelliher.
On 2 January 1908 at Bangor, Maine, Blanche married James S. Cooper, son of steamship captain Llewellyn Cooper and wife Maria Elizabeth (Andrews) Cooper of Kennebec County, Maine.
At the time of the 1920 Census, the couple was living at Philadelphia. Blanche's sister Bernice was living with them.
