Photograph of Philip H. Tejedor of Benton, Maine

Graduation photograph of a young man identified on the enclosed name card as Philip H. Tejedor.  The photograph was taken by the Preble studio of Waterville, Maine.

From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome]

Philip H. Tejedor was born at Boston, Massachusetts on 30 November 1910, son of Henry and Annabel (Welch) Tejedor, who were born at Sagua La Grande, Cuba, and Leeds, Maine, respectively.

Philip's paternal grandparents were Thomas and Esperanza (Yuniz ?) Tejedor.  His maternal grandparents were Wesley and Mary A. (Cushman) Welch.

By the time of the 1930 Census, Philip was living with his widowed grandmother Mary A. (Cushman) Welch at Benton, Maine.  I'm not sure where he spent his early years; he spent some time in Cuba.

In 1935, Philip married Reta (Sawyer) Tozier.  She had earlier been married to Roland Tozier.  Reta was the daughter of Edwin Burleigh Sawyer and Mary (Wilson) Sawyer, southern Aroostook County natives who had moved to Benton, Maine.  Reta was born about 1912.

Philip worked, at least for a time, at Keyes Fibre in Waterville, Maine.  He died in 1976.
