1906 Photograph of Rena Frances Johnson of Corinth, Maine

June 1906 photograph of a young woman identified on the reverse as Rena Frances Johnson.  The photograph lacks a photographer's imprint.

From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome]

Rena Frances Johnson was born 10 June 1888 at Corinth, Maine, daughter of Albert and Harriet Ellen (Jaquith) Johnson, who were born at Corinth, Maine, and Albion, Maine, respectively.

Rena's paternal grandparents were, I believe, John and Frances (Peterson) Johnson.  Her maternal grandparents were Obed C. and Betsey M. (Stevens) Jaquith.

On 1 May 1908 at Corinth, Maine, Rena married John Forrest Tate, son of William and Irene W. (Gerry) Tate.  He was born 25 December 1875 at Charleston, Maine, which abuts Corinth.

They lived at Corinth for a while and eventually moved to Portland, Maine, where John worked as a house carpenter.  They had at least three children.  John died in Florida in 1926.

On 29 October 1929 at Auburn, Maine, Rena married Floyd Monroe Barrows, son of James B. and Jane (Davis) Barrows.  He was born at Oakfield, Maine, on 11 March 1883.   Floyd had earlier been married to teacher Cora Louise Shields, daughter of Calvin and Emily V. (Brown) Shields.  She died in 1917.

The 1930 Census found Floyd and Rena at Auburn, Maine, where Floyd was working as a farmer, and Rena was at an Academy.  They were still at Auburn by the time of the 1940 Census. Floyd's occupation was still listed as farmer, but no occupation was given for Rena.

Rena died at Mount Desert, Maine, in 1974.  Floyd had died in 1960.
