Circa 1859-62 account book used by a Mr. Hersey or a firm named Hersey that manufactured boxes, presumably in Maine.
The book is approximately 6-1/4" x 4" and contains 24 pages, only four of which have handwriting on them. It was printed by the L. S. Learned Company of Cambridgeport, Massachusetts.

Hayes & Palmer - I found a Hayes & Palmer law firm at Bangor, Maine, comprised of C. W. Hayes and
A. F. Palmer, but I don't know if they were the Hayes & Palmer indicated in the account book.
If you have a theory of the identity of Mr. Hersey or the firm Hersey or thoughts on any of the customers mentioned, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
