1883-1887 Autograph Album of Madora of the Syracuse, New York Area

1883-1887 autograph album that belonged to a Madora, "Dora", from the Syracuse, New York area, perhaps from Brewerton, New York.  The album was presented to Madora by Eve on January 1, 1883.

The only definitive clue to Madora's identity is the page signed by C. Irena Pugsley of Dryden, New York, who called Dora her cousin on a page signed at Brewerton, New York, on March 20, 1883.

Irena was the daughter of Albert and Sarah Pugsley.  She would marry Charles W. Lord.  Was Irena visiting Madora at her home at Brewerton?  Or were they both visiting at Brewerton at the time?

The album measures approximately 7" x 4-1/4" and contains the sentiments of 32 of Madora's cousin and friends.  An alphabetical surname list and an alphabetical list of the signers, together with any personal information they offered, appear at the end of this post.

If you have a theory as to Madora's identity, please leave a comment or contact me directly.  Thanks!
