c1910 photograph of Doris Holt Sutcliffe, Ruth M. Sutcliffe and James Harland Sutcliffe, children of James Hughes Sutcliffe and Agnes (Watts) Sutcliffe, who were born at Lowell, Massachusetts, and Bath, England, respectively. James and Agnes were married at Millbury, Massachusetts, on June 8, 1892.
The photograph was taken at Royersford, Pennsylvania, well after the family had moved from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania.
The children and their ages as described on the reverse:
- Doris Holt Sutcliffe, age 11 years and 8 months. She was born at Millbury, Massachusetts, on March 24, 1898 and graduated from Ursinus College at Collegeville, Pennsylvania in 1920.
- Ruth M. Sutcliffe, age 6 years and ? months. According to her death record, which may or may not be correct, Ruth was born at Spring City, Pennsylvania, on January 31, 1903. She married Arnold F. Smith.
- James Harland Sutcliffe, age 2 years and 4 months. He was born at Spring City, Pennsylvania, on July 15, 1907. He graduated from Brown University in 1931 and married Edrie Althea Gile, a native of Rangeley, Maine, in 1937. They lived at Farmington, Maine. According to Edrie's obituary, "Jimmy" was a musician and band leader.
