I found his mother's name on his marriage record, and I hope that she was his birth mother, as sometimes people wrote their current mother. As for his mother's parents, I don't have an actual record to support the fact that they were Amos and Martha (Kimball) Lambert. I tried to researching Lavina's siblings (if those were siblings on the 1850 Census of Smithfield) and could not find the parents' names that way either. I did find Amos Lambert's and Martha Kimball's marriage record in the History of Durham [Maine], where Amos' family was from. It mentioned that Amos was living at Parkman, Maine, and they married on 20 February 1827. I think this is the Amos who owned land at Guilford, Maine, in the 1820s, and who left Guilford after losing his cattle to disease. If you have further information, please add an additional comment.
