1880s Autograph Album of Mary F. Blanchard of Dayville, Connecticut, compiled while at Danielsonville High School

1880s autograph album that belonged to Mary F. Blanchard, "Mamie", of Dayville, Connecticut, kept while she was attending Danielsonville High School.  Dayville and Danielsonville are villages in the town of Killingly, Connecticut.

See another post that features the autograph album of Evangeline Gertrude Cooper, "Eva", who also attended Danielsonville High School in the 1880s.  Many of the signers in Eva's album also signed pages in Mary's album.  Mary herself signed a page in Eva's album and called herself Mamie F. Blanchard.

And in turn, Eva signed a page in Mary's album.

The album is approximately 7-1/4" x 4-1/4" and contains the sentiments of over 80 of Mary's friends and schoolmates.  An alphabetical list of the signers appears at the end of this  post.   The album features several illustrations scattered throughout, and some signers took advantage of those pages.

From online research, hopefully correct:  [corrections and additions welcome!]

Mary F. Blanchard was born 2 May 1866 at Foster, Rhode Island, the daughter of Civil War veteran Caleb and Martha M. (Preston) Blanchard, who were born at Connecticut and Rhode Island respectively.  Caleb Blanchard's Civil War letters were published, with a date of 1851, which must be a typographical error.

I don't believe Mary ever married.  She lived with her parents until their deaths, and I never noticed an occupation listed for any of them in the Censuses.

The only signer who indicated a family relationship with Mary was her cousin George W. Eddy of Marysville, Kansas, who dated his page October 22, 1887.  His parents were William Waldo Eddy and Nancy F. (Blanchard) Eddy, who was a sister to Mary's father Caleb Blanchard.
